Overview

new normal was an e-commerce platform revolutionizing the online shopping experience by providing sustainable products and alternatives.

Overview As a UX Developer, my primary task was to gain deeper insights into the users of the New Normal website to understand if new services would be of value. I was responsible for redesigning various parts of the website to implement these services with a focus on responsive design for consistency across different platforms. The primary objective was to increase revenue and attract new users to the website. Challenge The primary challenge was to determine what services could assist users in their mission to lead a more sustainable and circular lifestyle. Additionally, the challenge was to determine how these services could drive revenue and increase site traffic. The project faced an unforeseen challenge in the form of a global lockdown, which made collaboration with the team and users challenging. ‍ Design Process To overcome the challenge, I employed a user-centered design approach that focused on empathizing with the users to identify the root of their problems. Once we understood the users' needs, we brainstormed potential solutions, focusing on the look and feel, and tested them with users. We repeated the process until we arrived at the optimal solution. User Interviews To find participants, we contacted existing users through a brief survey sent to individuals already signed up to our newsletter. We used SurveyMonkey and MailChimp to reach a larger audience. The interviews focused on how the users utilized the platform, where we missed the mark, and potential ways to enhance their experience. Based on the feedback, we determined the best services to feature were renting, restoration, and recycling of goods. We researched and formed partnerships with companies that could handle these tasks, requiring extensive market analysis. As a result of my work, I produced 14% of the cross-functional partnerships that were formed. ‍ Quick Questionnaire How long have you been shopping with new normal?
